12 degrees Celsius in winter - that's good news in that driving is easy, people are still scootering and motorcycling and cycling... but we miss all the snow and snap of a colder winter. The Coast is just recovering from a dandy windstorm that left Davis Bay awash in high tide and storm surge, and Halfmoon Bay without power for almost two days. It's our typical fall storm, 3 months late.
Dakota Ridge does have snow, but needs a drop of about 8 degrees and some precipitation to create fresh snow. Watch for
snow reports at Suncoast Central. There's also rumors of new facebook pages for the Tetrahedron Ski Club and Dakota Ridge - check in and ask them to post here too! This winter is proving to be not as sleepy as other 'off-seasons', largely because of the upcoming
Vancouver 2010 Olympics in February and also because
