Okay the Sunshine Coast is a lovely place to live but why? What are the finer things you experience here on the Coast? How long have you been here?

ha ha that question doesn't fall into the finer things on the Sunshine Coast, I can create a new discussion group for these types of discussion.

Here is a new question to discuss: your teenager is driving with an "N" and he/she has 4 passengers. Do you report your teen to stop the behaviour or let it go calling it 'small stuff' (not sweating the small stuff)

Good advise Kera, here is one to start with...

work related: when it is obvious to all that the owner/boss is the cause of re-occuring issues at work how does one bring that up for discussion without repercussion? Although this is not a current issue for me it has been in the past and I wonder today if there had been a constructive way of dealing with the issue if the outcome would have brought change. My situation I walked away but the issues still exist for those left behind because it has not been corrected.

That's definitely a tough one, Lisa. I think sometimes it's simplest to just throw it out there and see what happens.

I think, too, that positive change is only going to alienate people who don't want ANY change, and are most happy when they are unhappy or making other people so... sadly, we seem to have a strong contingent of folk like that here on the coast.
Why don't you start a list here - maybe in the forum - and see what happens?

starting a non-conversation discussion is not as easy as it should be, I guess because it's all about those things we don't talk about. One of those non-discussions I am struggling with is how do you put into words a list of issues that need to be addressed in a constructive way so positive changes happen without alienating others? Or do you just put it all out there and let the chips fall where they may? Any comments?
